The North Jersey Affiliate offers internships for high school and college students interested in one or more of the following areas: Health/Education/Advocacy, Public Relations/Communication, Fundraising, and Event Planning. Interns may commit to working during a semester or during the summer. Though the North Jersey Affiliate offers unpaid internships, students may receive academic credit for their accomplishments.

These volunteers play a critical role in rallying support for the Race for the Cure in each of their respective counties. They encourage their communities to form race teams and to reach their fundraising goals. These volunteers also organize the hanging of posters in their home counties for the Race for the Cure.

These volunteers are representatives of the North Jersey Affiliate in each of their respective counties. Affiliate County Ambassadors are asked to speak for the Affiliate and/or accept donation checks at various county events.

This group of volunteers helps staff members in the Komen House during office hours, which are Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm. Tasks may include filing, data entry, answering phones, organizing mailings, and various other clinical duties.

These volunteers serve to distribute breast health and Affiliate materials at various events including breast cancer awareness campaigns, health and street fairs, and fundraising events. This group also volunteers for larger events including the Tie a Ribbon Campaign and the Race for the Cure.

This group is comprised of breast cancer survivors, medical professionals, health educators, teachers, or others who would like to share a personal story related to breast cancer. These volunteers are largely involved in spreading breast health education and breast cancer awareness.
